The government decided to extend the program of 20% compensation for the cost of non-gas boilers
According to him, it is planned to spread the compensation from the budget also for the insulation of housing, the installation of new windows and energy modernization.
"Compensation from the state budget will be from 30% to 40% of the cost of purchased energy materials for insulation, thermal insulation and thermal modernization," the prime minister said.
As Yatsenyuk noted, Germany will provide Ukraine with a long-term loan in the amount of EUR500 million, EUR300 million of which will be used to warm houses and modernize Ukrainian heating companies.
As reported, in early October 2014, the government decided to direct the previously unspent funds of the European Union in the amount of UAH 50 million to compensate the population for 20%, but not more than UAH 5,000 of the cost of domestically produced boilers purchased on debt, operating on any type of fuel and energy except for natural gas.
According to the state-owned Oschadbank (Kyiv), the loan is provided for up to 36 months at 25% per annum. Obligatory customer's own contribution is 10% of the boiler cost. The minimum loan amount is UAH 1,000, the maximum is UAH 30,000.
According to the head of the board of Oschadbank, Andrey Pyshny, an effective lending mechanism developed together with the government will allow about 34 thousand households in Ukraine to switch to alternative types of heating.
As of February 26, 2015, about 1770 loans were issued for a total of UAH 31 million.
